USE MOTIVES OF SUBSTANCES

Recent research on the motives for drug use has mainly focused on the most common substances: alcohol, tobacco and cannabis. A wide variety of other less common psychotropic drugs are also used in Switzerland and Europe today. Many of them represent potential individual and public health risks.

The primary objective of this study program is to assess the reasons for psilocybin (hallucinogenic mushrooms), LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) and MDMA (ecstasy) in adults who have used these substances at least once in the past 12 months.
